Prairie Owl Beads is a family-owned Métis business run by four sisters: Julie, Danielle, Gabrielle, and Roxane. Their mission is to preserve and celebrate the Métis culture and heritage through the traditional art of beadwork. They share a deep passion for beadwork, valuing its historical significance and its role in their identity. The art of beadwork has been passed down to them through generations and has also been nurtured among the sisters themselves. They are dedicated to spreading their knowledge within their community and to anyone interested in learning. Initially, they were individual artists who shared their creations through workshops and local boutiques. In May 2020, they united their efforts and officially established Prairie Owl Beads as a platform to continue their artistic and cultural legacy.
