So Happy!!!

I love these boots, using both for work and everyday. So much better than the MUCK'S I bought in the states whichhad the rubber started cracking in 2 yrs and never kept my feet warm. The quality and workmanship of these boots is great. They fit perfect, keep my feet very warm and dry. Also love the compliments on them. I love Manitobah!!! Thanks so much.

Very comfortable. Quick service. Upgraded to the waterproof ones. Only wish you still offered the "charcoal" color.

Great Mukluks

This is going to be pretty long. I normally don’t go into great detail on a review unless I feel it’s necessary and may actually help someone. My main reason for not giving these 5 stars is the slightly awkward fit. I have seen other reviews regarding the left vs right boot feeling “off”. I noticed right away that placing the boots on the opposite feet that they felt nearly perfect out of the box. I understand that the company says they’re like moccasins so supposedly there’s no left or right and they will “form to your feet”. Obviously a short visit to the website you will notice that all of the photos show them being worn with the laces, ties, dangly balls, etc. on the outside. They would look quite odd any other way IMHO. That being said, I originally ordered the mids as I thought the talls would look somewhat feminine. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size the first time and had to return them. (The customer service on the return was exemplary by the way. I was concerned that I would pay through the nose for shipping from Alaska. I was given a prepaid international label and received my credit within a week or so. Kudos to Manitobah for that). Of course when I went to reorder the correct size they were out of stock. I had already been on the email waitlist for several weeks trying to purchase them. These are definitely some highly sought after Mukluks. Anyway, I received a notification that the the talls were in stock in the particular color that I wanted so I didn’t hesitate this time. I had a coupon code discount which help seal the deal. I have to say that although skeptical at first about the height, ultimately for my taller and thinner legs they fit more securely. I have basically been wearing them exclusively inside to get used to them in case I decided to return them. I finally wore them outside this past weekend and I am impressed. They are getting more comfortable and are quite warm. Not as warm as my moose hide Steger’s but those are pretty purpose built Mukluks. I wanted these more for my “daily driver’s” so to speak. I felt these would be better for slightly warmer temperatures and slushy conditions with the waterproofing and all. Some advice, if you are between sizes as I am you should go down. I didn’t realize it recommended that on the website. I found that out the hard way. I normally wear size 11.5 to 12 US. My first pair of 12’s felt HUGE. Some final thoughts… for not being actually made in Canada, I found the materials, construction, fit, and finish to be very good quality. They are handsome boots. Are they worth nearly $300? Time will tell. I’ve spent more for less. If you can get them on sale I would not hesitate. My wife now has 6 pairs and absolutely loves them. They seem to be holding up well to our Alaskan winters. After I have had more time to break them in outside and see how well they form to my feet I will gladly update their rating. BTW, it was a great surprise to find out that these have the updated Tipi Glacier Grip soles. The website didn’t indicate as such. So enough of my rambling but I hope some of you find this helpful. Happy hunting!
